Operational Changes & Weather Conditions
Passions of Paradise reserves the right to cancel or amend any tour due to weather conditions, mechanical issues, or operational requirements. This may include the use of an alternative vessel or visiting different reef locations.
Our tours typically include two outer reef destinations, selected from a range of spectacular sites. However, weather and sea conditions may make it unsafe or impractical to visit both locations. On these occasions, only one site may be visited.
All itinerary decisions are at the discretion of the Skipper, who prioritises the safety of passengers, crew, and vessel at all times.
No refunds are provided for itinerary changes, including visiting fewer reef sites.
We aim to sail as much as possible throughout the day; however, sailing is dependent on weather conditions. The Skipper will keep passengers informed of sailing plans where possible.
If a tour is cancelled by Passions of Paradise due to weather or mechanical issues, a full refund of monies paid directly to us will be provided.
Pricing
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
Prices are subject to change without notice and are valid at the time of booking.
Medical & Participation Requirements (Mandatory)
It is a Queensland Government requirement that all passengers participating in in-water activities, including snorkelling and diving, complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the activity.
Completion of this questionnaire is a mandatory condition of travel.
The medical questionnaire for snorkelling is not designed to exclude passengers from participation. Instead, it allows our crew to identify any medical conditions or concerns and provide additional attention, supervision, or control measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Passengers who do not complete the Medical Questionnaire will not be permitted to participate in any in-water activities.
Solo Travellers -All snorkellers must be accompanied by a snorkel buddy at all times. Solo travellers will be required to find a buddy, be paired with another guest by staff, or remain with an in-water guide. Any person not complying with this requirement will be instructed to return to the vessel.
Scuba Diving
Scuba diving in Queensland has strict medical requirements. Certain medical conditions (including but not limited to asthma, heart conditions, diabetes, or the use of prescription medication) may prevent participation in diving activities.
Some passengers may be required to obtain medical clearance from a doctor prior to diving. Please note that medical clearance must meet recognised diving medical standards and may be declined if it is deemed insufficient or not appropriate for scuba diving.
Participation in diving activities is subject to approval by our qualified dive instructors, and final decisions are made with safety as the highest priority.
Child & Infant Policy
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all families, the following supervision ratios apply:
- Infants aged 3 and under : must be accompanied by one adult per infant (1:1 ratio)
- Children aged 4-12 years: maximum of 2 children per 1 adult
- All passengers under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult on board.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss these requirements further.
Travel Insurance (Recommended)
We strongly recommend that all passengers obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including cancellations, illness, inability to participate in activities, or travel delays. Passions of Paradise accepts no responsibility for losses incurred due to these circumstances.
Passions of Paradise reserves the right to refuse service or remove any guest whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate. Removal may occur without refund or compensation. Any guest removed for misconduct may be held responsible for all costs arising from their actions, including but not limited to removal expenses and compensation payable to other guests.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
