Covid 19 Amended Cancellation Policy

In order to support our visitors to Cairns during these uncertain times we will be wavering all cancellation fees on bookings booked through this website until further notice. Individual Cancellation policy

We have a very generous cancellation policy which allows you to cancel or change (subject to seating availability) up to 24 hours before travel. After this time, there is a 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy for groups over 10 passengers

  • If cancellation occurs more than 14 days prior to arrival, a full refund applies.
  • If cancellation occurs 7- 13 days prior, a 50% refund applies.
  • If cancellation occurs 7 days or less, refund will be at Management’s discretion.

Passions of Paradise reserves the right to cancel the day tour due to poor weather conditions, mechanical problems or use another vessel, or travel to different reef sites.

We offer a two destination itinerary.We will visit two outer reef locations chosen from our brand new selection of 24 spectacular destinations.  At times; the weather may make one of these destinations unsafe or impractical to visit. On those days, we may only visit one location. In poor weather, it is up to the Skippers discretion as he travels to the reef to decide which locations will be visited. He will choose keeping in mind your safety, the safety of the boat and your comfort. There are no refunds when the itinerary is changed.

We will endeavour to sail as much as we can each day, however, the wind speed and wind direction determine for how long this occurs. The skipper will keep everyone informed on our sailing plans for the day.

Should the trip be cancelled due to poor weather or mechanical breakdown, we will refund 100% of the amount we charged.

These conditions do not exclude customers rights under the Competition & Consumer Act 2012 (Cth) Prices may be subject to change without notice.

All prices include GST and are in Australian dollars. Prices valid until 31/03/2022.

All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire. Click here to download it. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (eg asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and/or prescription medication may preclude some people from diving. For advice please contact our office directly. Final decisions rest with our qualified dive instructors who consider your safety – our highest priority.

Passions of Paradise are operating in accordance with the Queensland Government Tourism Activities Covid Safe plan. All crew have been trained in Covid clean practices and the passengers numbers have been reduced in order to adhere to social distancing requirements.

Covid19 Requirements  – Until further notice, in accordance with the Queensland Government Regulations all passengers will be required to complete a Covid19 pre-screening declaration form prior to boarding the vessel. This form will require your confirmation that you are not displaying any symptoms associated with Covid19 and that you have not been in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid19 in the previous 14 days. For the purpose of the Queensland government contact tracing procedure you will be required to also provide your address and contact details. These details will be held confidentially for 56 days and will only be released to the appropriate government bodies should contact tracing be required.
