Passions of Paradise has been nominated for the Best Activity Queensland in the 2013 Golden Backpack Awards.
We congratulate our fellow Tropical North Queensland finalists AJ Hackett, Skydive Australia and Gilligan’s who are among the 10 operators vying for Queensland awards.
The winners will be announced on November 8 in Sydney at a presentation dinner hosted by AFL legend Sam Kekovich.
A big thanks to all our passengers who voted during the nine-week online campaign which attracted 94,000 votes from 23,000 individual voters.
The awards are sponsored by Destination New South Wales, Tourism Australia, the South Australia Tourism Commission, TigerAir, Insurance Advisernet, Website Travel, Global Gossip, TNT Magazine, NAB and Taxback.
Event producer Tom Wheeler said: ”This year has seen around 13,000 more votes from last year, no doubt due to the increase in backpackers and the introduction of new awards.”
”Looking at the votes it seems there has been an increase in regions and cities working together to promote why their area is best.”
